The Southern Stars Hockey School is excited to announce its inaugural hockey school, hosted by leading players from the Charlotte Checkers. There will be a youth and adult camp, held in June & July, 2007. The youth camp will run Monday, June 25th through Friday, June 29th. The adult camp will run in the evenings every Tuesday and Thursday from June 23rd to July 5th. The youth camp is open to boys and girls, and will feature current Charlotte Checkers players as instructors with an 8-to-1 player-toinstructor
ratio.

The Southern Stars Hockey School will be held at The Extreme Ice Center, located just outside of Charlotte, NC. Each attendee will receive superior instruction, have plenty of ice time, and enjoy a multitude of on-ice and off-ice activities. An optional lunch program will be provided for the youth camp only.

Additional Camp Opportunity!
If Southern Stars Hockey Camp fi nds there is adequate interest for a youth camp for players ages
11-14 an additional camp will be added in August. Please let us know via e-mail if you would like more
information on this camp.

Youth Daily Camp Schedule
8:30 a.m. - Arrival
9:00 a.m. - On Ice Time - power skating, stick handling, passing, shooting
11:00 a.m. - Fun hockey related activities
12:00 p.m. - Lunch
12:30 p.m. - Chalk Talk
1:30 p.m. - On Ice Time
3:30 p.m. - Cool down, hockey videos and snacks until parent pick up at 4:30

Adult Daily Camp Schedule
8:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Power skating, Passing, Shooting and Skill

Equipment Needed
All players must supply their own equipment. Players are required to have full face protection, helmet, mouth guard, pants, shin pads, elbow pads, shoulder pads, skates, stick and gloves. Full equipment must be worn at all times when on the ice.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURES:
Registration forms will be processed on a first-come, first serve basis until all slots are filled. Acceptance of a participant will be verified with a confi rmation letter. If the camp has been fi lled prior to the receipt of a registration the opportunity to be held on a wait list will be offered.

REFUND POLICY:
No refunds will be issued, unless documented medical reasons or inability to place a participant from the wait list. All refunds subject to a $75 registration fee.

Dusty Jaimeson
A forward who has led the Charlotte Checkers in goals each of the previous four seasons and recorded a careerbest 61 points last season. Having played 227 games with the Checkers, Dusty is ranked third in goals scored (112), fifth in points scored (205) and sixth in assists (93).

Kenton Smith
A defenseman who’s played in the ECHL for 7 yrs. and with the Charlotte Checkers for 4 seasons. Last year he was named captain and scored 10 goals and had 27 assists. Kenton was selected as a nominee for the 2006 Inter-Continental Hotels Group Ironman Award.

Nathan Gillies
As a forward, Gillies has played in both the American Hockey League and the United Hockey League in each of the past two seasons and has 79 points (44g-35a) and 243 penalty minutes in 151 career professional games.
